MISS YOU MOM

My beautiful Mother, Wanda and My handsome Father, Frank on their wedding day
Doesn't she have such a pretty face?

Here she is in 1956

Mom with Jaden, her greatgrandson

Here she is on at her 82nd birthday party in 2005 with her friend for over 65 years, Hilma

Here she is standing in my front yard while she was here with one of her grandsons Josh.
She was so happy he surprised her by coming all the way from Portland to see her and his sisters and me of course!

This was taken in my dinning room in Oregon October 2007 and in February 2008 she got sick with a cold and the flu and she was gone within 5 days. It is hard to realize it happened so suddenly. She was in perfect health and this visit was a fun one. She loved to eat and we had fruit and breakfast sandwhiches but I remember we ate ice cream and crepes and popcorn during the time she was visiting from Idaho. It was so fun and such a blessing that my nieces, Mandy and Cassidy brought her over to see me and my new house here in Coos Bay.

She loved her family more than anything and we love her right back.
We miss you Mom.

NAME THAT COLLAGE CONTEST

Another collage created in Photoshop.
I created my own background and used Photoshop brushes as well as vintage images of the little girls.
It needs a name sooooo........

Leave your idea for a name in a comment here.
I will draw a name one week from today (March 2) and whoever suggested the name will receive 4 note cards, an Artist Trading Card and a 5 x 7 of this Collage.

ALSO

I need feedback about Photoshop CS3 versus Photoshop Elements
For those of you that use Elements, is it pretty much the same as CS3?
I have a friend that really wants Photoshop but I am hearing that Elements is more affordable and does pretty much the same thing. Let me hear from you please.

Thanks

Teeny Tiny Babies

I want to share with you the most amazing artist I have ever seen!
She is 28 year old Camille Allen and she sculptures these realistic teeny tiny babies.

Have you ever seen such adorable babies? It is amazing to see the beautiful detail on such a tiny piece of sculptured art.

I am totally in love with these babies!

WHAT A LOVELY CHILD SHE WAS

Shirley Temple...I used to love to watch her sing and dance! She had the cutest little voice!

What a change a year can make! Shirley Temple goes from "toddler" clothes in the 1940 publicity shot at left to the cleanly tailored, young lady look of 1941.

Vive' la Difference! I love the crispness of this outfit and just wish we had a full-length view to see what the skirt is like.

Fifteen-year-old Shirley Temple sits on the diving board behind her home in 1943. Her cute playdress features a white collar and a slightly flared skirt, and note her "grown-up" shoes. (Image courtesy of Rita Dubas and 20th Century-Fox.)

SABOTAGE!!

Today being Valentine's Day my sweet husband took me out to brunch.
We had a table at the Porterhouse Steak house by the window and watched the seal, ducks and a tow boat pulling a very larg barge into the bay. It was a lovely time.

We then stopped and bought a heart shaped pizza to fix for dinner later in the evening. When we got home he gave me a heart shaped white chocolate cake and a box of the most famous chocolate truffles in the world (Bodega).

I just know he is trying to sabotage my diet!!!!!!!! Stinker. I love you Alan, thanks for a perfect day!

SURPRISE!!

Well today was a day of surprises!

I received my secret Valentine Swap gift from Terri of Terri's ThreadArt.
www.lavenderbetweenthecracks.blogspot.com

Look at all the neat stuff! She included some vintage style valentine cards, a cute little pillow that she made herself, a personalized pen with her Etsy shop name on it and a Chocolate Bar which I ate before I could take a photo of it. It was good and sinful and completely off my diet but I ate it anyway!

There was also an cute little kit for making valentine love letters with a wax seal and all. So sweet, I cannot wait to make a love letter for Alan.

I was also the winner of a Giveaway over at Cranberry Blossom (Judi)
and this is what I won! Thanks Judi
